Acanthamoeba Lysozyme-like enzymes

Acanthamoeba are a primarily bactivorous genus, and therefore require enzymes that break down the cell walls of the bacteria that they consume. Such enzymes have been isolated and their characteristics studied (Drozañski,1969a; 1969b;1972a; 1972b).
