An
actin binding protein that binds only the b-isoform
of actin (Shuster et
al, 1996).
The cDNA encodes a protein with an expected molecular weight of some 150kDa, but
the protein was originally isolated as a 73kDa protein (hence the name) (Welch
& Herman, 2002).
b-CAP73
has six predicted ankyrin-like repeats at the N-terminus.
