A
700kDa protein detected by probing a monoclonal antibody raised against myoblast
proteins by Western blot. A second protein of approx. 500kDa was also
detected but this was not thought to be a proteolytic fragment of the 700kDa
protein (Desjardins
et al, 1994).
Endossin is present just under the plasma-membrane, but it not thought to be an
intra-membranous protein.
