NPA (naphthylphthalamic acid binding protein)

Previously known to co-localise with the F-actin cytoskeleton in plants (Cox & Muday, 1994), NPA was then found to bind to F-actin columns (Hu et al, 2000), it therefore appears that NPA is an actin binding protein, however the possibility that it binds actin via a third party cannot yet be ruled out.
