Dinamoeba
mirabilis is a large(150 - 340um), algivorous amoeba
(Jahn & Jahn, 1949).
There is not much known about this species but it has been
suggested to be related to the Mastigamoeba (Page,
1988) on
morphological grounds and because both Dinamoeba mirabilis and Mastigamoeba aspera are
reported to be euryhaline. No cyst or flagella stage reported.
