A
superfamily of very large proteins whose members bind all three
components of the cytoskeleton (actin, tubulin and intermediate
filaments). Spectraplakins (Roper
et al, 2002),
include BPAG1, MACF1 and short
stop, they share in common from the N-terminus two CH domains, a
plakin domain, a series of plectin repeats, numerous spectrin repeats
and finally a GAS2 domain. |
